5 steps for product-led growth

  1. Start by adding user value.

    • Growth is most effective when there is added user benefit to the customer’s product experience
  2. Identify High Value Activities that are opportunities for growth

    • Work out what are the things you can ask users to do that are directly connected to your OKRs
  3. Leverage incoming volume to maximize HVA’s and embrace the power of product defaults

    • change defaults (better than trials!), etc.
  4. Inform the user towards success and look for ways to reduce friction

    • be crystal clear on the next steps a user has to take. Large text, simple instructions.
  5. Invest to support seamless one-click actions. They are worth the investment.

    • remove steps, remove friction, increase conversion rates
